A great source for Nitrogen, Phosphorus, Calcium, Magnesium and Chitin.

This is ground to a flour to help achieve better consistency throughout your soil.

This product is great for making compost and organic soils, pest sprays and topdressing in the garden.

It helps retain moisture in the soil and helps builds organic matter.

Crab Shell is high in Chitin , which promotes the growth of Chitin eating bacteria in the soil. It will help eliminate Ants, Grubs, Fungus and Root Nematodes.

Crab Shell should be worked in the soil before planting, or top dressed with some worm castings or compost.

A valuable part of our Living Soil Recipe.

1/4 cup - 1/2 cup per cubic foot of soil as part of a complete nutrient and mineral program.

Crab Shell can be applied with our Kelp Meal to increase organic matter and retain moisture in the soil.

Chitin Spray Recipe for fungal diseases and pest infestations:

1/4 cup crab shell flour

4 gallons water

1 tsp Quantum VSC

Add these ingredients together and let sit for a day or two. During this process, it will smell, and when the the smell starts to go away, thats when you strain the solution, dilute with another 4 gallons of water and spray on your plants. Remember to always spray in the early morning or in late afternoon.  Water on leaves acts like a magnifying glass and will burn them. If you have any leftover solution you can always water it into soil or pour on compost pile.   Please only use this recipe if you have a fungal disease or an infestation of bugs in your garden.

**note this recipe may have a nice crab shell, fishy odor. Best done outside.
