AGRICULTURAL LIME
Agricultural lime, also known as calcium carbonate, is a natural soil conditioner made from crushed limestone. In worm farming, it's a game-changer. A light sprinkle of ag lime helps regulate the pH in your worm bin, keeping it from becoming too acidic—a common issue when feeding fruit and veggie scraps. When the bedding stays balanced, your worms stay healthy, active, and productive.
But that’s not all—ag lime also supplies a steady source of calcium, which is key for worm reproduction and cocoon development. It helps neutralize odors, break down organic matter more efficiently, and create a more stable environment overall. Just a pinch now and then is all it takes to keep your worm farm thriving.
