New to vermicomposting? Red wiggler cocoons are one of the easiest and most rewarding ways to start your worm bin journey. Each tiny cocoon holds 2–5 baby worms ready to hatch — giving you a thriving, self-sustaining colony in just a few weeks.

Our cocoons are hand-harvested from healthy, living worm beds and shipped fresh so they arrive viable and ready to go. No complicated setup required — just add them to a prepared worm bin and let nature do the rest.

Care Instructions
• Open your package promptly upon arrival
• Place cocoons in a moist (not wet) worm bin with bedding like shredded cardboard or coconut coir
• Keep the bin between 55–77°F (13–25°C) for best hatch rates
• Maintain moisture — bedding should feel like a wrung-out sponge
• Cocoons typically hatch within 2–4 weeks depending on temperature
• Avoid direct sunlight and extreme temperatures during shipping and setup

Ships As: Live cocoons — handle gently upon arrival. For best results, set up your bin one week prior to arrival.
